New images released from ‘Salman the Persian’ series

The latest behind-the-scenes images from the historical series ‘Salman the Persian’, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Davoud Mirbaqeri, show ongoing filming of the show’s second season, focusing on ancient Iran.

The production is currently taking place at Ghazali Cinema Town in Iran, with editing also being conducted simultaneously for completed portions of the series. 

Producer Hossein Taheri confirmed that the project is about 50% complete, with the second season centered on the Iranian period of Salman al-Farsi's life.

Once this phase concludes, filming will move to the Hijaz era, which depicts the time and culture of the Arabian Peninsula during the early days of Islam. 

The ambitious production began in 2019 and spans three parts, chronicling the remarkable journey of Salman al-Farsi, a revered companion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The series is set to unfold across 60 episodes, exploring three distinct historical periods: Sassanid Iran, the Byzantine Empire, and the Hijaz region. 

Notable cast members include Alireza Shoja-Nouri, Daryoush Farhang, Farhad Aslani, and Majid Mozaffari, among others.

With its large-scale production, historical depth, and stellar ensemble cast, ‘Salman the Persian’ is expected to be a landmark in Iranian television. 

The series remains on track for its anticipated release in 2026, promising to bring the story of Salman al-Farsi to life for audiences worldwide.
